UG Teaching Program
1. Lecture classes on cardiothoracic surgery for final year undergraduate students (MBBS)
2. Diploma in perfusion technology (DPFT) -2 students admitted every year.
3. “Post basic diploma in cardiothoracic nursing”-15 students admitted each year.
3. B.sc nursing are being trained regularly.
4. Diploma in Critical care technology students are trained in this department

PG Teaching Program
MS (general surgery) of this institution and DNB (general surgery) of District Hospitals are
being trained for 1 month for practical training in CTVS.

1. PhD program: a) A Prospective study off pump CABG vs on pump CABG operation & its early
follow up in a govt. medical college.
b) A study to assess complication to drug regimen and quality of life among
patients who have undergone myocardial revascularization attending cardiac OPD of
selected hospitals, Kolkata, West Bengal
2. Stem cell therapy in ischemic cardiomyopathy (ICMR project)
3. Genetic study in congenital heart disease under DBT Nidaan genetic diagnosis
